광고형끼리 비교할 때 값보다 먼저 볼 칸
미국에서는 두 서비스 모두 광고형 등급을 팔기 때문에 진입 등급끼리 직접 비교할 수 있다. 그런데 값을 보기 전에 확인해야 할 칸이 있다. 디즈니+의 광고형 스탠다드는 다운로드를 지원하지 않는다. 넷플릭스 광고형에는 그 제약이 없다. 광고형이 깎는 것이 광고 시청 시간뿐이라고 가정하면 이 차이를 놓친다.
따라서 이 비교의 첫 질문은 ‘네트워크 없는 곳에서 볼 일이 있는가’가 되어야 한다. 비행기·지하철·해외 이동이 잦다면 다운로드 지원 여부가 월 몇 달러의 차액보다 훨씬 크게 작용한다. 그 조건이 없다면 그때 비로소 값과 화질·동시접속을 비교하면 된다.
